I grew up in a home filled with art and music. My mother was an artist and my father a scientist and avid musician.
I've been drawing, painting and tinkering for as long as I can recall and I picked up my first musical instrument at a young age.
I was equally adept at art and science. My pragmatism caused me to pursue science as a career but I continued to feed my creative side through a variety of venues. My career in pharmaceutical development allowed me financial stability and the gratification of contributing to humanity. I am now ready to make my artistic contribution.
Binary Code is the language that changed our world forever. Not since man’s discovery of fire has there been a more impactful change. Art has documented human history since the beginning of man. Long before written language, man memorialized daily life and important historical events through art. Art has broken new ground with the recent sale of an NFT, minted by Beeple, which has re-defined provenance. Visual art must remain relevant to the times and as a conceptual artist and formally trained scientist, I am fascinated by the connection between art and science. I am compelled to create images that memorializes the impact of technology on society. I incorporate symbols associated with technology through collage, monoprint and metal leaf. In addition, many of my pieces are magnetic allowing the viewer to move panels thereby participating in the outcome.
